Calzaghe should stay retired - but froch beats him in every department is so wrong its funny. Every heard of workrate? Footwork? Speed? Ringcraft? Adaptability? Stamina? Defense? I could go on.

Froch is a good fighter with huge grit and I've been a fan for a long time but dont get carried away. Joe was elite, a top 3 p4p guy. Carl is very good, a top 3 SMW. Big difference. As you will see if Carl ever steps in a ring with Kessler or even manages to tempt Joe out of retirement.

The thing is he wouldnt win all those fights. In fact he'd do well to win half of em.

His defense is suspect... he's very flat footed...moves like a tank...and is slow as ****....But the man has a BIG HEART

We will see mate. The Kessler fight should be inevitable and is one to really look forward to. I like Kessler but think Froch's power and mental strength wins him the fight. Calzaghe will wisely stay retired no matter how much Froch calls him out so that outcome will probablly be argued for years. :good

Taylors stamina has been exposed before and was again last night. That was what really turned the tables for Carl.

Froch showed good stamina, decent power and a solid chin. But that chin wont stay solid for much longer as he continues to eat so many shots.

He's got a really good chin. Like Naz he helps his opponent to hurt him. He'll lunge in, be off balance, chin in the air, hands down, walking on to the punch etc As soon as he was down he was okay and Froch took heavy rights before going down.

I've never hated on Taylors power. I never saw Hopkins brave enough to get hit or take risks when he was losing. I sure as hell remember Winky covering up when Taylor let his hands go. Pavlik was hurt badly. Froch was put down. Taylors power, like his entire game, is inconsistent but he sure can punch with that right.

I've thought the same thing. I'm not knocking it mind as it's great to see.

A lot of boxers seem to throw arm punches for speed and to clock up points nowadays. It's perhaps unusual to see a fighter constantly throwing real punches - great to see though.

I wonder if the fact that the majority of his punches are loaded affects his overall speed to some degree. That's not to say he secretly has the speed of Mosley mind.

His chin is solid imo. Taylor has very underrated power (probably due to the fact he has fought a load of defensive masters in recent years therefore struggling to get the KO's)

Frochs speed is definitely something he should work on coz Taylor was picking him off easily for the 1st few rounds.

Great heart and decent power too.

Kessler is not exactly a non-stop work machine over 12 rounds either. He slowed in the Calzaghe fight and got sloppy so you never know, Froch could take him out of there as well.

    Would be a great fight.

What impresses me about Froch the most is his ability to recover very quickly from being hurt.

I remember one huge and fiush punch in the fight from Taylor and for a split second Froch looked really really hurt, then all of a sudden he was fine again.

Calzaghe hurt Kessler with a body shot. Joe isn't know for being heavy handed these days.
