Mayweather is the welterweight champion of the world, never lost his title in the ring. Mayweather is a great fighter who won and defended at welterweight but it isnt him at his best weight or prime. At 130-140 youd be hard pressed on who prime for prime would beat him, he was more offensive threw more combos and used more movement. He wasnt quite as slick imo n wuz more a boxer puncher with great mechanics and reflexes. Stylistically whitaker has the best shot because of his jab stance n reflexes would be a fight for the sweet science, Duran has a shot but i see mayweather winning more rounds in a close rough fight because of speed n counters, sandy saddler at 130 power rough n tough stout chin may get outboxed, other than that idk....o yea ike williams wuz a complete fighter but floyd excels against taller fighters, at 140 pryor has a shot but he is a sucker for floyds best punch straight right...if cervantez who was past prime dropped him and arguello landed with regularity floyds speed and counters would trouble him.....imo floyd is the best junior lightweight ever and proved it beating larger men in his career

pacquio from 2009 the version that ****ed up hatton and cotto may have steam rolled through a 140lb version of floyd.
there not atgs but meldric taylor, hector commacho and buddy mcgirt would have given floyd a tough time,de la hoya at 140 would be a tough nights work for floyd as well

Aaron Pryor would wipe the floor with Floyd out of intimidation factor. Floyd won't be talking mess or choking Pryor because Pryor might just flip. The Duran from Leonard 1 might give Floyd major trouble.

    Pacquiao at 140/135
    Mosley at 135
    Chavez at 140/135/130
    Pryor at 140
    De La Hoya at 140/135/130
    Duran at 135
    Arguello at 135
    Armstrong at 130
    Robinson at 135

Guys off the top of my head that would beat him or give him a close fight in that weight range.

matter fact henry armstrong is the only fighter i see clearly beating him, he cut of the ring had good speed and power wuld take mays best shots pressure n outwork him.
Chavez would get worked forgot who sd pryor would intimidate him but if they fought it would be the first time neither could get in their opponents heads, they are both ultra confident n stubborn. Benny leonard would be fighting a guy who did most things jus a lil better which wuld be the edge....tony canzoneri would make a great matchup

    Duran
    Whitaker
    Armstrong
    Napoles
    Chavez
    Ortiz

Pryor and Benitez could as well.

I'd also love to see DLH and a couple others at 140, Williams and Jack at lightweight, and Camacho and Marcel at 130.

At 130 there's only alexis i'd give any chance (based on the fights of those who fought at 130)

At 135 there's quite a few guys: mosley, pea, duran, leonard, gans, armstrong, robinson, chavez, alexis etc

At 140 tszyu, pryor, oscar, chavez, whittaker etc

Floyd is the goat at sfw imo.

At lw we saw him struggle with jose and fight two low ranked opponents so it's hard to gauge how good he was.

At lww he fought brussels, corley and gatti only really impressing against the latter who'd already been beaten by micky ward by this point.

Obviously we'll never know the correct answer but it's hard calling floyd a h2h great from lw to lww based on his fights there.

He certainly isn't the ww champ, not unless he beats pac or unifies the division; he did retire after hatton don't forget.

    Duran
    maybe Chavez
    Pernell
    Maybe Pryor
