And in reality, Beterbiev and most guys at 175 and so, are not on Usyk level in terms of hand speed and especially feet speed. I don't want to even mention the cardio and the pace he is boxing at. The biggest joke was him saying Usyk is not even P4P skilled, when Usyk is Number 1 P4P in the world.
That's why he lost to Kambosos and should have lost to Sandor Martin as well. Curious if this guys are so skilled, why are they looking completely different, just going 2-3kg. above their "natural" weight ? Guess how skilled they would be, being at CW or HW weight ? But they don't have the frame for that, they will looks like Butterbean ....
So we measure skills by how many hooks, a fighter is throwing now ? And i can easily counter with that AJ has one of the best uppercuts in the game currently. He is also great in close, mid and long range. And his hook are actually very decent. But it's completely different game comparing 140 guys with 220+ guys. The comparison is silly. And we will see how skilled Lopez really is in the upcoming matches. Obviously smaller fighters with a lot less weight will look less clumsy, and their technique will look better + of course they will have speed edge. But i ask the same question, why they look completely different they move 2-3kg. up their weight ? Their so much "skill" somehow begin to disappear.
Foot work. Always trying to step outside of his opponents lead foot, as a southpaw this can be devastating and he is a master at it. Usyk does do it but not with the same eloquent turns and angles that follow.
+ When did I say that ? I am saying that Beterbiev was more skilled than most of CW and HW, that Usyk have faced. That's why Usyk had problems with him, not because of his punching power alone. You put the emphasis on it and add nothing more. compare to Loma. this topic about Loma and Usyk and Usyk is less skilled than Loma. period.
Yeah in your mind he maybe, in reality is not. That's why Usyk is P4P Number 1 in the World, and Loma is not. Same with 1 guy beaing unbeaten, and the other already have 3 loses. And what i mean by Beterbiev, which was pretty clear, is that his power is ATG, and there is no shame in taking knee to a body shot of him, 10 years ago. It was not a knock on Beterbiev.
Wow. really ? Usyk beat AJ and suddenly he is best ever, nobody before that was talking about his P4P status, maybe only ME and one other guy on this forum He won that last fight and he should be undisputed, which makes him P4P great with that resume.
By nobody, you mean you? Usyk is in P4P top 10 ranking, since forever. Maybe you forget that Usyk was Undisputed at CW ??? Anyone that knows Boxing knew how skilled Usyk is, and that he is the big deal. The question was will he be able to compensate for the late switch to HW + the big difference in height, reach and weight. And he has done it, by beating the man at the HW division.
Outside of any arguing - Usyk is 191 cm tall and has a reach of 198, so he doesn't lack any size for a heavyweight, he is just like most of them (and actually was a bit taller than most of his cruiser opponents). And AJ is not "the man at the HW" because he was brutally exposed by Ruiz.
