What B+ or A- level fighters of his time could Hatton have beaten?

Could Hatton have been moved differently to where he'd have a much more legitimate HOF resume before facing arguably the top two off all-time?

He could've beat that Kosta Tzyu fella. He was pretty decent.

Yeah If that "fight" had happened in AUS the crowd would have fed Ricky to the Emu's.

It changes nothing. In Emu culture the strong eat the weak.

Hatton looked really good when he beat Tzyu.

He looked as filthy as the aftermath of a toilet visit from Valuev on laxatives.

Hatton got out of the sport what he put into it , Ballooned up to 190 in between fights drinking beer and throwing darts at the family Pub .. but with More discipline , probably longer career with better fights ... If you are talking about the May and Pac fights.. They are in a completely different league

I have always read Hatton used to come in at about 165 at WW. I feel as if longevity would have followed a rise in weight and of course discipline but perhaps his success was partially depend on being a "big" man? so perhaps it was out of the cards for a 5ft7 man who was stopped by a naturally much smaller man. I am not well versed on his career I won't lie so these are just my limited opinions.

Hatton was a binge eater, big drinker and occasional drug user, alongside being a partier and his ridiculous fame in the UK. He also had a style that was predicated on being very physically fit. He was never going to have longevity. His weight issues were always the result of ill-discipline and he also fell for his onw hype somewhat.

I would like to have seen him fight cotto. I think he would have beat him at 140, but favor Cotto at WW. Not sure about HOF stuff, I don’t care about that. But I think a Cotto fight would have been good for both guys.

He’d probably rough up Josh Taylor.
