Top 10 at JMW is stronger from 1-10 than MW but that is another debate, as for the 155 thing i dont agree. Dude was fighting at 155 before a GGG fight was talked about. and had said as much that it has more to do with not having a title shot at 154 so there is no point in cutting the extra pound.

All this about catch weight title fights i get, at the same time i also get that the fight is more important an i think about what other great champions. And while im cool 155 or 160 i personally feel more should be expected out of the guy who always has an excuses, or is flip flopping.

Golovkin needs Canelo, not the other way around and its that very fact why if Golovkin wants the fight bad enough and sooner rather than later, he has to come down and force Canelo's hand at 155 lbs.

    Its really not complicated.
Canelo has better money fight lined up vs Pacquiao and possibly Mayweather or even a rematch with Cotto.

    Money my friends talks!!!:deal

Canelo will be labeled as a phoney if he doesn't fight GGG Even his own fans won't really respect him.

There's no best description in those options. Canelo wants to fight GGG next but ODLH said "NO."

I don't think Canelo is really afraid to fight Ggg, he'd take his beating like a red headed step child, but he's letting Gbp take hold of the reigns. Cotto and Khan probably would be the better choices business wise, obviously, but sooner or later, Canelo will have to take the reigns back and face Ggg head on, face his real test to be a real Mexican legend or a fluke. The catchweight deal is pure nonsense, that should have never been brought up. Shows that Canelo's team is doubtful of Canelo's chances and perhaps more afraid to face Ggg than Canelo himself.

Hmmm...maybe what GGG's reluctance was to fight Ward would closely dessctibe it.

I agree. This catchweight BS is ruining boxing, and I no longer respect Canelo for trying to hide behind it. Why have weight classes?

    I see two reasons:
    1. He has big money fights ahead of him, where he is atm.
    2. His team knows that GGG will beat him handily.

I'd love to see the fight, but I can also understand the "business case" of his promoters... Not that I like it, though...

    Its crystal clear to me.

Golden Boy want to keep Canelo as a cash cow. It relies on his Macho Fearless Mexican image. Taking a beating from GGG will crush that.

They want to maximise other fights, cherry pick (ala Khan May 7) for easy work, easy displays of a great fighter for the mass public.

    Rinse and repeat.

Possibly approach GGG once he is worn out and aged.

    Done.

    Its business

Maximise earnings as much as possible before facing the inevitable guillotine, metaphorically speaking, vs Golovkin.

Remember how Oscar used to suck off Khan in the same way?
