Boxing looks to be ending out the year with one hell of a bang, with 3 short months to go before 2008 is history, theres 6 big fights that are ready to go down. So if you can put the fights in order of importance to you and what makes them so intriguing to you as a boxing fan?

1.Peter/Klitschko- Can 4 years inactive Vitali overcome a "Nightmare"?
2.Calzaghe/Jones- Can RJJ turn back the clock and excite fans again?
3.Hopkins/Pavlik- Can the heavy hitting Pavlik be the first to KO B-Hop?
4.Wlad/Povetkin- Does Povetkin have enough to give Wlad a tough fight?
5.Pac/DLH- Can Pac overcome the size disadvantage and beat Oscar?
6.Tarver/Dawson- Can Dawson pass the test against a proven veteran?

Two off the top of my head:

    1. Margarito vs. Williams for welterweight supremacy; 2 belts or even 3 belts (if Williams decides to fight Clottey and unify the IBF and WBO belts) will be on the line as well as P4P status

    2. Pavlik vs. Abraham for middleweight supremacy to unify the WBC/IBF/WBO/The Ring Middleweight Titles

  3. Id love to see Calzaghe against Pavlik, providing of course Pavlik beats Hops and CAli beats ROY:huh

I made a mistake on my thread title, it meant to say big fights of 08 are you anticipating to see the most, oh well, in 09 I would have to see Haye/Wlad.

Out of your list Pac v DLH.

If Pac wins it will be the most significant victory for anyone in your list.

Next year - Mijares v Montiel or Calzaghe v Pavlik

 It was my mistake, not yours. For some reason I put 09 instead of 08 on my thread title. The rest of 08 looks amazing, 3 months of Boxing at it's best.:good

    I thought so. :yep

I'm looking forward to all the fights you listed except for Wlad/Povetkin, which I expect will go the way of Wlad/Sultan.

It very well could go the Iggy/Wlad direction, but the fact that Povetkin is not a southpaw or cautious fighter by nature, so I see him either getting laid out early in the fight or him doing the same to Wlad, it is definitely a fight I really want to see, and Wlad's toughest fight since Peter in 05.

I'd like to see Paul Williams, PBF, or ODLH fight Margarito. I'd like to see at least one, if not all of those fights happen.

    Pavlik vs. Abraham and/or Calzaghe

    Pacquiao vs. Hatton and JMM

Paul Williams vs. Pavlik and/or Kessler (I would love to see that:lol:)

Paul Williams vs. Any top 5 fighter at 147, or top 10 at 154, or 160.

    Humberto Soto vs Edwin Valero

Juan Manuel Lopez vs Vazquez or Marquez

    Arce vs Darchinyan

    Peter v W. Klishchko 2

That's a good point. I guess I could see Povetkin being more agressive and either landing something or getting blasted out by taking chances.

Heck, it's boxing, so I'm sure I'll still tune in.
