What big fight is there for Margarito at 154 and can he win at that weight?

the big fights for Margarito at 154 are Vernon Forrest and nothing else.

Santos is a good fight, but not a very big one.

Martinez is not even on that level.

Margarito vs Paul Williams, Shane Mosley, Vernon Forrest, Miguel Cotto rematch, and the Golden Goose are the big fights

 

I really don't think he's skilled enough to move up and win the big fights!!

 

I think Margarito should finish up business at 147 for right now.. Perhaps taking fights with Williams and a rematch with Cotto.. Looks like he'll be fighting Mosley as well.. I would like to see him move up to 154 in the future though and see him take on the likes of Danny Santos or Alfredo Anuglo when his builds his stock up some more.. Margo vs Angulo would be a war if this fight ever took place sometime down the road..

 

margo has unfinished business with pw and vice versa. even if they lost to someone their rematch would still be the most wanted fight in demand. santos would be a great fight, but santos is not a big name fighter yet. talent wise he definitely belongs with the elite at 154, but he doesnt fill seats yet. margo after his win with cotto is now a household name with the mexican people so he should be able to at this point.

 

Let me school this newbie for a sec. First of all people said he wasnt skilled enough to beat Cotto and look at what happened. Then people said he could not bully bigger opponents, well look at Margo VS Santos 2. Margo was pretty much being the aggressor and Santos was countering and when things got too rough, Santos would hold Margo. Dont get me started with Mora, just go to YOUTUBE and search for Margarito VS Mora sparring. Yes Margo is not the most talented skilled fighter but that doesnt make a fighter better neccessarily. Look at Martines he has all the skill and speed in the world and what is his only loss??? Yes newb it is to Margarito. Thank you for taking a lesson in "Boxing 101".

If AM does not fight Williams before moving to 154, he will be one of the biggest hypocrites in boxing. All three guys at 154 present problems for AM. Even an old Forrest.

 

He should finally beat the crap out of Santos.

like he ****ed Mora up? lol only thing Forrest has is a jab. Margos workrate alone would dominate the fight with old man Forrest. If I was Margarito I would avoid Angulo and Kirkland, these guys are all bad for Margarito but would produce great fights. He should pursue a rematch with Santos and easy win over Mora, then take on Forrest for the belt.
