The litmus test is their mental strength

That tells you everything you need to know about their resolve and determination

In 2015 Roman Gonzalez,Sergey Kovalev,GGG and Andre Ward were the top 4 in the world pound for pound.I thought all 4 looked borderline unbeatable.Ward was the only one to retire unbeaten.Ward beat Kovalev in two very close fights.I agreed with the judges scorecards 114-113 for Ward-Kovalev 1.Had Kovalev up in the second fight and I didn’t agree with the stoppage at all,Ward was hitting Kovalev below the belt.

I thought GGG one the first fight with Canelo,Second could have gone either way and Canelo definitely won the third.
I was absolutely blown away by Roman Gonzalez performances against Brian Viloria and McWilliams Arroyo and edgar Sosa but his decline was rapid, starting with the Carlos Cuadras fight where he just barely deserved to win.

II think Naoya Inoue is the most unstoppable force I’ve ever seen in the lower weight classes. The only fighter with a resume to rival him is Donaire.Inoue has beaten many world class fighters losing very few rounds in the process. The smaller guys almost inevitably lose if the keep fighting the top guys.Inoue should retire by the age of 36 if he wants to retire unbeaten.5 more years.
