What boxer, past or present could beat Canelo Alvarez at his prime?

    I don`t think Floyd would have given GGG any trouble at 160, he would have got blown away and you don`t know if his speed may be effected carrying the extra weight, Canelo hit harder and fought much better in his rematch v GGG and no way could Floyd have done what Canelo did at 168, he`s biger and better now, Floyd`s tiny.

    How Mayweather would do against 168lbers or how he would do against Golovkin, compared to Canelo, has very little bearing on how he would do against Canelo.

    That kind of logic doesnt work in boxing.

    Canelo has the same dimensions and pretty much the same style that he had when they fought the first time. Hes improved, yes... enough to actually make it competitive this time. But many of the things he does better now are not even suitable against Floyd.

    The fight doesnt go from being an easy one sided schooling that Mayweather practically strolled through, to one he outright loses, just because of 6lbs, and some improvements by Canelo.

    Canelo doesn't have the dimensions, style, stamina, output or speed, to beat Floyd, regardless of what weight they fight at.
