I think Lennox Lewis would have scored one of the highest if he had of tested the punching machine.

I seen one of these things on a UK show callede 'Soccer AM' and its a load of bollox. Why? Because Holyfield got a lower 'score' than a lightweight english actor called danny dyer. Its a nonsense and completely unreliable

It's an unreliable source sometimes, but not invalid and not in this case.

Bruno's punching power was tested as part of a whole experiment, they just picked him as a known big puncher at the time. It's all laid out there.

It would've been fun to see others take the test, but as alluded to - sometimes the guy that can land two very hard shots in the same time it takes the bigger puncher to land one can be the deadlier fighter.

Holy didn't even hit it properly, it was like a half arsed jab.

"Marciano's punch was tested and it was featured in the December 1963 issue of Boxing Illustrated: "Marciano's knockout blow packs more explosive energy than an armour-piercing bullet and represents as much energy as would be required to spot lift 1000 pounds one foot off the ground."

i highly doubt marciano could move 1000 pounds with a punch..

as for the rest of the thread, it depends on the punch. what do you guys think is harder a right hand or a left hook? or does it depend on whos throwing it?

this highlight pretty much sums it up

i definately think the older fighters are overrated and made eachother look good, watching marciano. i think his power was overrated and skill underrated.

spoiler: foreman wins, when he hits someone they look like they got shot, or hit with a sledgehammer. its unusual..
