As title states. I myself find it curious that a proper biography has never been made on the great Tony Canozoneri, one of the greatest fighters ever and very popular in his own time. Who else deserves consideration?
Not Lennox Lewis who wrote an auto-bio after knocking Ruddock out and has now got a doc made about his life and career because there`s so many doc`s about Mike Tyson, Mike was simply a more interesting character and more explosive boxer than Lewis who is boring in interviews, Tyson Fury`s auto-bio is brilliant, maybe Lewis think about driving into a wall like Fury was going to due to suicidal thoughts or drive into a tree like Mike Tyson.
Deontay Wilder when his career is done. His deluded personality is intriguing & worthy of a documentary. I can see it now. The title - 'Deontay Wilder: The Man Who Played The Role Of A Boxer'.
I can't think of anything i'd rather read than a really well oiled biography of Corporal Izzy Scwhartz. From the orphanage to the army (somehow, though I read he was actually physically too small to enlist?) to the championship of the world. And he fought everyone from that generation. A true savage. I like to read about Top Fighters who were as good as any, whom under the right circumstances, ownership, management, equal opportunity, could have been World Champions, but Top Fighters none-the-less. all the usual suspects have plenty of Ink, too much alot of the time, Ali, for example, but these fighters lives & careers are often more compelling. Canadian - Sonny Jones Scotsman - Jim Brady Englishman - Joe Bowker American - Bobby Dobbs American - Lloyd Marshall Frenchmen - Robert Villemain and so on. fighters like these.
MSM most definitely as stated a few times above. Hagler. Theres one out but he had no input in it. Hearns Zivic Amber's A book on the glory days of the Philadelphia middleweight scene Gibbons brothers Kid Norfolk GGG James Toney BHop It would be great if the living guys would put out Autobiographies. I could list more like Little Red Lopez too but it would be a pretty long list. I really enjoy auto bios and bios alot

Morlocks, thanks for giving me the opportunity to toot my own horn. There's a whole lot of information about Billy Petrolle in Volume One of my Jack Hurley trilogy "The One Is Jack Hurley." The title of the first volume is "Son of Fargo." Soft cover available from Amazon and other online outlets, hardcover available from the author, with 710 pp., around 350 photos conveniently imbedded in the text. Also has information about Tony Canzoneri and Mike Gibbons, both of whom have been mentioned as likely candidates for a biography in this thread.
