    Stop kidding yourself.

Floyd would never have fought him no matter what he did.

You guys live in a fantasy.

We know who he fought and who he didn’t.

We know of all of his actions and comments.

Don’t try and imply that Williams losing to Quintana lost him the Floyd fight.

    It didn’t.

Yes, Williams losing to Quintana and leaving welterweight was def a boogie man situation and the reason why Floyd took a break. Go to a mirror and look yourself in the eye.

Floyd took a break when the division was hot.

Do I really need to list all of his quotes and actions from throughout his career?

Williams losing to Quintana never stopped the fight from happening.

That’s just something you like to portray.

Floyd would never have fought Williams.

It doesn’t matter if Floyd was better, or that he beat better fighters etc.

It would have been a very tough stylistic match up for him. And Floyd didn’t do those types of matches, hence is hiatus in the first place.

It was hot for two decades straight, chief. Welterweight is historically the deepest division in boxing.

We know that you’ll excuse anything that he did.

He was only at the weight for 2 years before he retired.

You’re kidding yourself if you think he’d ever have fought Paul Williams.

How can you claim that Lara and Khan had a case, but then Williams didn’t?

He would never have fought Williams or Khan at those stages of his career.

Why do you think he retired with Berto and an MMA fighter?

He wouldn’t face a stylistic threat.

I guess we just have different criteria on what cleaning out a division and greatness look like

Are you trying to say Mayweather wasn’t a great fighter?

I can’t name a fighter in history who didn’t “miss” several tier 2 opponents. I think Mayweather beat every hof fighter possible given his weight increase from 130 to 154 during his career.

    Maybe Bradley gets in?

Mayweather was without a doubt an atg fighter. I'm not disagreeing with that, but his self proclaimed level of greatness is something I disagree with. I dont think he was the best to ever do it. He carefully chose his path, and for that I don't blame him. He did impress me when he fought mosley, canelo, and then later pacquiao. I'm not trying to hold him to some standard where every fight has to be against a monster, I just feel he missed a lot of great fighters at critical times, and I do not believe it was coincidence. You obviously are quite knowledgeable about boxing, and I'm not taking a hit at you, just stating my opinion.

And come up with the " They all beating each other but nobody is beating me ." Line while he was retired and the other Welters were fighting each other.

How could they beat you when you retired to avoid them.

Great fighter but an even greater clown.

He did set the May and Sept fight schedule later his career. It maxed his earnings out but didn’t leave much room to fight guys like Luis Collazo on premium cable.

Haha, I can sense your sarcasm. You obviously have your opinion and I have mine. We both know, no one was demanding that fight.

Did you notice the operative word was 'slick' and that I actually mentioned Judah? Corley nor Ortiz, Guerrero, or Pacquiao qualify. Mitchell was closer to that but was also on his last legs.

Corley and Pacquiao were plenty slick. Thurman couldn’t even deal with an old ass Pacquiao’s feet and traps.

Casamayor wasn’t actually as slick as credited for. He was more of a tough and dirty boxer with good fundamentals.
