To be honest, most people didn't have Tommy's jab. But most also didn't have Howard's boxing ability, and of course, the speed. A right trainer like Gil Clancy could have done a lot with Davis. At minimum, he would have been an USBA or NABF champion. Most likely, he wins the world title, and is possibly a 2 dvision champion.

Greg Page if he would have had dedication in training and stuck to the slick boxing style that served him well through 1981. Signing with Don King may have gotten him higher profile fights, but it didn’t help him in the long term.

In fact, so many guys could have accomplished much more with better focus and dedication. Keeping that focus and dedication is probably the hardest part of boxing. It makes you appreciate guys like Marvin Hagler and Larry Holmes that much more.

Carl Williams with a better chin.

Mike Tyson is the most illustrious example.
Riddick Bowe, Ike Ikeabuchi, Tommy Morrison and Wilfred Benitez are also great examples

It started way before the hooker and if not for that hooker, it would’ve been some other ****.

Broner was a legitimate threat at 135. His career would’ve panned out a lot differently if stayed there and took care of himself.
