i dont know how hard you need to throw a punch to break someones ribs but its has happened many times franz botha broke shannon briggs' rib during their hw fight roy jones right hand to the body fractured virgill hills rib robbie peden broke marco antonio barrera rib in sparring many years back micky ward also broke someones rib in sparring and now recent news of hatton breaking 4 ribs of castillo *side note, vince phillips had his arm broken by a kick in a k1 tournament.
Julio Cesar Chavez broke many ribs, remember Taylor? I thought I heard Castillo broke one of PBF's ribs but Im not sure if thats true. I can't recall but there are tons of fighters who kept fighting with broken ribs.
