what boxing slang do you longer hear...

Obvious one, "lacing" an opponent.
Because for many years now the laces are taped off, so it isn't possible anymore.

You certainly don't hear a lot about my name much anymore. Ever since this draining thing, I feel like I'm becoming less relevant as a person, somehow. I wish they'd just eat their cauliflower like men, like in the old days. :twisted:

No idea about what goes on in arenas, but in terms of words or phrases related to boxing:

I don't hear 'cutie' much. Same goes for 'Sunday Punch', although I'm not sure how many people used that phrase.

 

No more Rosin boxes.

Back in the old days, we'd scuff up the soles of our shoes before a bout.

 

I don't hear people calling boxers "cute" or "cutie" as much anymore...
