Would'nt mind a crack at that Mathew Hatton, but only cos he told me to **** off in the mgm toilets.(good job he didnt catch me 10 beers earlier) But he's come on a fair bit since lee Beards had hold of him, he's got 11 yrs on me and i'm carrying extra timber. So i dont fancy it quite as much as i did.

My record whilst working on the doors was like Chavez pre-Randall.... Normal people generally can't fight especially when there pissed. 99% of street fights are over within 10-15 seconds. I gurantee if I hit almost anyone on the chin i'll KO them. Street fighting I found was about getting there first and beating people mentally. I could talk about this for hours but all i'll say is that if you are ever threatened by anyone and you know they are going to attack you... be first. If your first and your fast and accurate enough you win.

9st 6lbs to about 12st 7lbs.... I wasn't suited to the doors at all in terms of doing the job in a non violent way.

If only Earnie Shavers had your philosophy for working on the doors, although he would be racking up deaths instead of KO's.

Ernie Shavers wife is from the wirral or something, and she writes books. Ernie Shavers used to work on Yates in Liverpool, and was just a happy person. My brother said he shook his hands, and they where massive.

He stilled looked in good shape aswell.

he probablly is Jeff.Maybe he had me down as some pissed up nob head.:huh I'll admit i'd had a few,1st trip to Vegas, and it had been a long day n all that:yep
But when he came in the toilets at the mgm nightclub, studio 54, with his mates, with the manc swagger, and i try to offer my congratulations on a great performance, which i watched by the way.most of the hatton fans only go to see one fight and were in the bar. There's no need to tell me to **** off with a little smirk to his mates. yeh nice one mate, class. not that it bothered me like:fire. If you see him again soon, tell him not to worry mate,as I'm mot one to hold grudges.:!:

I'd be willing to bet that if you were to take any pro or amateur at the same weight against a non-boxer it would be one way traffic. When I was in my prime - about 8-9 years ago I trained 4 nights a week and was really into it having been doing it for 6 years and as a light-heavy/cruiser at 6'4" I could outbox most of the guys in the gym who weren't pro's but as soon as I sparred against a 37 yr old former light-heavy pro wit a distnictly average record he tore me a new arsehole over 3 very long rounds. It's different gravy and even if you think you're Billy Big rocks in the weight room or on the footy pitch a pro boxer would work you over big time
