Resume can mean either, depends on context.

You definitely see people describing journeymen who've faced a who's who of elite talent (losing to most or all of them) as having "deep resumes"; and you also in a different context see people talking strictly about a "deep resume" strictly in terms of who someone has official wins over.

Usually the context can be determined by the nature of the subject. If discussing a journeyman type, then deep resume means the former, and if discussing an elite level fighter, it means the latter.

Baldomir was/is a C level fighter...... who on his day was capable of upsetting B level fighters.

Just like a journeyman can upset a prospect.

No way was sharmba mitchell a "c" class fighter. Dude was at least a b. He may have had some losses but he fought who was the best at the time and he had plenty of talent/speed.

I also think mitchell would have given Hatton a swift ass kicking if they fought earlier.

Nice grading. But I just think the thread starter was way off. Sharmba was no1. JWW in 1999 and was rated by The Ring as the 2nd best from 1998-2005 and always above Judah. By the time of his losses to Mayweather and Williams at WW he was 36 with no punch resistance courtesy of the beating by Tszyu. He had two back to back loses when he was 23-24. Sharmba was a very highly regarded boxer at his peak. To illustrate how highly regarded he was consider that Tszyu jumped from no.7 on the Ring P4P to No.3 after he beat him.

Keep in mind Mitchell gave Williams a tough fight, and was hitting him openly to the face.

Yes but you're talking meaningless belts.

    Baldomir was the lineal champion.
