this pisses me off when fighters do this. its blatant cheating, everyone knows it. sometimes it gets knocked out. but not when the take it out of their mouth

if they spit it out, the ref should just put it in without washing it off. or he should carry a spare one for both fighters.

Fight on. If it falls out you fight on, period.

Another thing is the ref can have a spare one for each fighter and as soon as it falls out he throws the spare in their mouth when there is a lull in the action.

Its bollocks that they get taken to the corner, the gumshield is washed, the cornerman wastes time etc

These guys are athletes, you give them 10 seconds rest and they have totally lost their opportunity to close the show.

If it is on purpose, you deduct a point immediately and get another one in fast. If it happens again, they have to continue fighting without it. If it happens again after that, disqualification.

its apart of boxing its not that big of a deal really.you can warn them and then you can take points from them.its no worse then the other fouls in boxing expect sometimes you can help it.

    like broke jaw.
or you are tired and breathing through ur mouth and you get clocked and it comes out.
or you spit it out cause you need more time to recovery from kd if that was the case.
sometimes is comes out before even getting koed.

not that big of a deal to me.

if they spit it out, deduct a point and put it back in, don't bother taking the fighter to his corner, they will only rinse it out with water (which doesn't sterilze the mouth piece in any way) and waste time.

the mouth piece is alot serious then some of you guys may know.it can prevent ur teeth being knocked down ur throat, cuz if that was to happen u would die or choke real bad.then the fight is really over.

u want tell a fighter to not use his cup or wait, i not u can spit out da cup but it protects the fighters just the same and his just as important in more ways then 1 to the fighter.

so they would dq a guy before they would say no u cant put it back in until the rd is over.

only thing you can do is warn them and then take a point then warm them then take away point, then after that u can dq them.its not gone get any better then that.

I guess you try being punched in the jaw with a sore jawbone and keep a mouthpiece in. If your jaw is broken or swollen its hard to keep it in. IE Corrales in the Clottey fight. He took many shots to the jaw and he truly did not spit it out. I guess those who never been in a fist fight or let alone never boxed a second in there life dont know the toll of getting hit on the jaw compulsively would do. I guess Arthur Abraham should of got DQd in the Miranda fight for the 8 years he had to recover from a broken jaw. Cant have it both ways

We're talking about it being spit out intentionally. There is a big difference. If someone spits it out intentionally, they deserve point deductions and disqualifications. It's like hitting someone low to get out of trouble.

If the spitting out is on purpose...
    1st time - warning
    2nd time- 1 point deducted
    3rd time - 2 points deducted
    4th time - DQ

That's my opinion on the subject
