It's not like its impossible. Have Pac or Floyd lose to Martinez. Beat Martinez. Defend at 160.

Or, beat martinez, JCCJr, Ward, Bute in the next few years. Call me crazy but people laughed when the same **** was suggested of Pac. Either way, he'll probly have to move up if he doesn't secure a rematch.

He's clearly a Hall of Fame fighter at this point and will always have the "what if" regarding the plaster based abuse from Margarito. As big of a fan of his as I am, I think he falls shy of ATG status, but I have really high ATG standards.

Martinez is advancing in age, but would give him a title in four divisions and in the conversation.

ATG's are heir apparant. Not every HOF'er can reach that level. You either have or you you don't. While Cotto is a solid fighter he hasn't shown anything extraordinary skillwise. He doesn't posses legendary speed, style, accuracy, timing, etc. He just has solid attributes but not Robinson, Leonard, Mayweather, Pacquiao, Whitaker like talents.

Since he has lost to Pac, and Pbf, he must now make a gamble to beat Sergio to redeem himself for greatness.

This is in addition to beating any other jmw's that he takes on.
