    Beat Kessler?

    Beat Hopkins?

    Beat Ward/Bute/Dawson/Pascal?

What does he have to do for you to rate him above Joe?

I think Calazghe will always be considered a 'better', more naturally gifted fighter.

Resume wise, beating Ward and Bute should do it for me

In terms of ring accomplishments, just beating Ward might be enough. If he followed that up with a win over Bute then I'd say Froch clearly had the strong record. But those are some pretty big ifs...

Vano on your point I agree with you, but a very talented sportsman who tends to stay with his limits and comfort zone will generally achieve less overall than a talented one who pushes himself and takes risks. So if Froch wins the next couple, I think that discussions of Calzaghe in years to come will be tinged with more hesitation over his place in history than will Froch's. Unfortunately, Calzaghe left the door open to more debate, imho.

I think his resume is as good as Joe's now, If he beats Ward then re-matches and beats Kessler he overtakes In my opinion!

Personally given the circumstances if he beats Ward he's there for me , clearly that depends on what happens after Ward , but if he can beat Ward he's a match for the elite at the weight i.e. Bute and the 175 lb'ers

Thats resume / accomplishments / acheivements wise

Prime for Prime if you ask most boxing fans there going with Calzaghe , and most will say he'll have his ears boxed off (Froch) .............

Just imagine Joe C come out of retirement and battered the winner of the super six then took out Bute then hung up his gloves now that would be legendary.

Beat Ward and Bute. Prime Calzaghe would beat prime Froch but thats not what the thread is about. But if Froch beats Bute and Ward on the back of what he has done already, yeah for me thats bigger than anything Calzaghe has done.
