Fury did better against both Wlad and Whyte as common opponents. Whyte absolutely rocked AJ for a moment. Didn't land a glove on Fury.

Usyk still smokes on Fury saturday though:)

I don’t get the take Fury did better against Whyte, sure Joshua got momentarily buzzed for about 5 seconds in the second round but he beat the absolute sh*t out of Whyte for every other second of the fight. Whyte was lucky to even see the second round.

Fury did well against Whyte but it wasn’t a beat down like Joshua put on him. And Whyte was shot by the time Fury faced him.

Didn't get hit and put Whyte out with a clean 1 hit KO, AJ had to bang away and get hit, imo Fury's was a more impressive manner from a pure boxing perspective but AJ's fight was funner to watch.

Meh, I wasn’t overly impressed with Fury in the Whyte fight or Joshua in his fight with Whyte. The notion that one was more impressive that the other is my main gripe. For example the common opponents of Wallin and Ngannou Joshua clearly did better against. Wlad probably goes to Fury as he went to his back yard and beat the man (albeit in an absolute snoozefest) although Joshua knocked him out but he was older and coming off a loss.

The Whyte fight, Joshua slapped him around the ring for 7 rounds and knocked him out but got clipped. Fury boxed nicely and got the KO after not really landing anything of note until then but both comprehensively beat him.

Did better vs whyte and Wlad
Common opponents don't tell the full story

Compare foremans fights with frazier and Norton to Ali

How about Wilder smashing Breazele and Helenius much easier than Aj? Does that make him better

    Manny smashed Hatton in 2
    Floyd took 10 rounds

Duran pushed Hagler to the brink
    Hearns killed Duran
    Hagler killed hearns

So don't come with that common opponent nonsense when Aj purposely picked 2 previous subpar Fury performances to make him look bad

Maybe Fury should do the same and go and smash the fat guy that killed Joshua and made him fight scared for years

Subpar is putting it lightly. Fury got dropped and arguably lost to a boxing novice.

    He made himself look bad.

For what it's worth I think Usyk will win tomorrow & that this current version of AJ also beats this current version of Fury

However...Fury is more awkward than AJ, makes better mid-fight adjustments and is a better inside fighter too. Fury also recovers from being knocked down much better than AJ

Whilst triangle theory’s look good on paper,it’s not often they follow that form in the ring were it matters.Ali Norton Frazier Foreman from the Golden age of the Heavyweights, just look how that went. Joshua should stop opponents more than Fury as he is an offensive fighter,Fury is a boxer who even now under Sugar is still not an offensive fighter for me but always better as a boxer. Well if Fury beats Usyk and Ruiz can get himself back in contention that is a fight I would not mind happening .

Fury can use his size and weight. He can move better than AJ and he can switch.

Fury use his brains a lot more than AJ, he knows how to win, unlike AJ

Fury has plan B, unlike AJ

Here are some of the advantages Fury has.

Longer reach, so he can jab/land from further away.
Better defensive skills, so he can avoid more shots.
Better footwork, so he can position better.
Better stamina, so he can fight longer and harder.
Better brain, so he can adapt better in the fight.
Better determination, so he can fight through adversity better.
Better chin, so he can take more clean shots.

Whether that's enough, who knows, as power is a big game changer in boxing, but don't pretend he doesn't have many advantages over Big Joshie as a boxer.

Let's not forget that AJ, during his absolute prime, lost to Ruiz Jr. by TKO. I know it hurts. But you have to accept this. There is absolutely no way Tyson Fury ever loses to Ruiz Jr. let alone by TKO!

That was a lucky punch by Ruiz...AJ just got too greedy and went for the kill, opening himself up.
