I'd stop parrying the jab with your own jab hand, personally. More slipping too, that head is pretty static
Hey I'm not sure which one you are, but like the poster above said, head movement is best, but If you do parry someones jab it is usually done with your right hand (pushing their punch to the left side of your head, allows you to jab them at the same time)
You should focus on developing a fast strong jab. It is the best tool for defence, and as you get better it is a great offensive tool to setup the right hand.
