What can the americans do to bring their american-level amatuer boxers...

    ...up to euro (world) level? This is two games in a row you have failed badly now. Do you need to send your amatuers to europe for some euro-training?

    but i thought all their worst athletes were playing ''soccer'', not boxing? 307m people and not one olympic medal in mems boxing :lol:, shows what happens when americans dont get home advantage all the time.

    Pointless thread, America have the most medals in history so I wouldn't be gloating too much, you are only goading others into an argument. And I'm European. Indeed US boxing does seem to be at a low ebb at the moment, I'm sure they will be looking at improving things for the future.

    they have the most medals in history yes, ew dont live in history, things changes, people, places evolve. if we lived in history we wouldnt bother having a games today.

    In the Pros.....the US is doing quite well...better than anybody else as a matter of fact.

    America is shot - too fat and rich, the hunger has gone

    Even in the pros, for a country of their size they are underachieving horribly

    The ams in America train in great gyms, spar with top pros & have some great coaches, but, they have never adapted to the computer scoring era

    With the change in scoring system after this games I think the Americans will improve their results in the worlds & olympics.
