From the videos I have seen of him on youtub he seems to be a very good defencive boxer maby even in the same league as Whitaker and Pep. but with little offencive output.
He looks like an amazing defensive technician...I have only seen the second Cervantes fight and the last round of their first fight(On Youtube) I understand he drew with Calos Ortiz, I bet that was an intersting bout.
Another way of saying that beating Cervantes, Perkins, Brown, Morgan, Urbina, Pruitt, Hernandez and Gine, whilst holding Laguna to a draw and having a close loss to Ortiz is not impressive.
a few of those guys you mentioned were not ranked when he beat them. Urbina, morgan, pruitt were hardly great fighters. Beating napoles due to cuts prior to him becoming a major star doesnt turn u into a good fighter. Those men were journeyman that got lucky.
