...has defended his current belt more times than Hozumi Hasegawa? Who has defended his WBC bantamweight 10 times. I thought Ivan Calderon, but no. Calderon has like six defences, now his previous belt was defended about 12 times!

But I'm talking current Champ defending their current belt. Who's got more than Hasegawa?

Hmmm yea i guess no one lately is able to keep their titles for very long which is ok because that usually means they are fighting tough opposition.

You guys are right, I forgot about Chris John. He's had that title for years now.

yea when John fought Marquez he had already defended his title 5 or 6 times. Marquez was the super WBA champ cause he was unified and John the ordinary WBA champ. Then Marquez drew with Pacquiao and was stripped of his IBF title, which means that he was stripped of his super WBA title and forced to fight John.

I just checked it out, Chris John has 12 title defences. His fight against Marquez, was his fifth defence.
