70-80% chance for me. I think Butes a fine fighter and will be looking to make a statement. Think its all gonna catch up to the old warrior in this one. The fact that they've sparred many rounds could also play a factor
Yeah I think nobody's really giving Bute a chance to knock Johnson out with a head shot. If this happens then that's would be a REAL statement.
It's incredible, but true. Bute has become overrated by ESB. The poll results prove it! No wonder Bute's considered Top 10 p4p by a fair few!:bbb
The biggest problem is that Glen didn't look good @ 168 against Froch. So, unless he somehow adjusts better to the weight this time I expect Bute to win. Gonna be hard to KO Glen though. 10% chance.
This is one of those fights where it's to bad someone has to lose. I really like both guys, but I expect a dominate performance by Bute. However, like Brickhaus said, it is surprisingly hard to hit Glen flush. In addition he has a great chin and is very durable. That combination makes him damn hard to hurt.
That's right but I think the way Bute creates angles and his good lateral movement will help him solve Johnson's defense.
said 60 to 70 Bute attacks the body meaning he is dangerous up and down stairs He will give Johnson much to worry about
Although Bute has a solid punch which scores KOs, I dont think Bute really goes pressing for the KOs. Sure he will go for the finish if a fighter is a sitting target, but while someone is still active Bute tends to try and get in and out. I know the art is to hit and not be hit, but I often think Bute seems concerned about taking a shot as if he doubts his chin? I think Bute hits hard enough to stop Johnson, but im not sure that Bute will commit himself enough to stop Johnson even though I wouldnt discount it. I think Froch could have stopped Johnson if he had of applied more pressure and not let up after landing some solid shots. I think Bute will land and then step off. Still I dont think this is a very good match up. G Johnson has a terrible SMW resume and is 0-5 in his last 5 world title fights
I don't give a **** that he's American. The fact that he was responsible for that **** poor stoppage in Cleverly-Kuziemski this year I'm sure gives comfort to those pulling for the house fighter, and reaffirms my view on the likelihood of another dumb stoppage in this fight.
agreed on the committing part but i think the speed and delivery of the body punches is just so dangerous Glen has a high guard and should allow some good lefts to the body to leak in and like many of Butes fights the opponents get so worried about the body shot that they leave the head open to the uppercut
