That would be ok with me as long as the federal govt was not involved. The people who run it should also be voted in otherwise it would quickly become corrupt.
Only if they take money out of their paychecks and put it aside themselves. I think a small percentage of tickets sold should go into a fund and dispersed after retirement based on how many rounds the fighter fought.
Off the top of my head yes... but then again... no. Because this would give the regulating bodies (WBthis and IBthat) even more power.... their rankings (which we know are already for sale..) will be worth a lot more..
All medical bills paid by promoters for injuries sustained in the ring. Same day weigh ins. The execution of Bob Arum and Don King. No more fights in Texas; I'm a Texan BTW. "Walking in a Winter Wonderland" chant variations should result in public flogging of the chanters.
All boxers should be in a union, and have a mandatory pension plan that promoters should pay into (e.g. 8% of the purse per fight).
Yeah that's what I do. It's not difficult. These are grown adults responsible for themselves. Yes that's a good idea. I'm all for stuff like charities and support networks for fighters and ex fighters.
Get rid of all the junior/super weight classes & go back to the original 8 plus cruiser No 3 knock down rule & no standing 8 count in any title fight Same day weigh-ins with check-weights 1 week & 24 hours before Rehydration limit at around 5% for ring-weight No catchweight limits for world titles All world title fights should have neutral ref & all 3 judges should come from different regions Strict, random, all year round OSDT for all top10 contenders with very harsh penalties for testing positive
The main thing I would like to see is olympic style drug testing. I would also like to see the weigh in closer to the fight.
'Hatton wonderland' was an ingenious play on words you have to admit. More FBI stings on the orgs IBF style. It's not exactly the subtlest of protection rackets these bozo's are running
