What commentators generally get the scoring right, well in line with the way you usually see a fight.

    A few intangibles.

Lederman seems to score a lot on activity.

Larry Merchant scores to many even rounds.

Bob Sheridan is all over Don Kings fighters nuts.

Jim Watt cant score a fight period.

Sometimes i think Al Bernstein scores fights to one sided when they are closer.

Im not gonna say who i generally agree with but who do you think gets it right or in line with you?

I rarely find myself agreeing with any of them however Lederman is pretty good and a couple of times I've scored fights exactly the same as him. I agree Watt is awful though I rarely have the same winner as him let alone the same scorecard.

None of the ****ing SKY team that's for sure.

I normally think Barry McGoogan is there or there abouts.

Sometimes I agree more with the commentators than I do with the actual judges.

    Classic. :good

Personally i feel Emmauel Steward keeps it real with the scoring.
He often calls fights early on. When Lampley tried to make Cotto
look like he was up againts Clottey and Emmanuel just laughed like
yeah right was the ****. He calls em like he see's them. :deal

My score card usually runs pretty close to Lederman's, but every once in a while I just shake my head and wonder; "What ****ing fight is he watching?"

    Same is true of Atlas.

I watch every fight on mute for a reason.... Effective punching dosent always make that "boom" sound, and commentators are generally biased towards one fighter, and so is the crowd. Somtimes, ill watch a fight were a fighter will land 3-5 inside clean shots that wont be mentiond, but the other fighters ineffective slapping hooking will be called a big shot :-(

to be honest, larry merchant is proboly the best commentator. He is too wasted to bull****. He sees it like it is :good

Thats the truth, Jim Watt's scorecards are shockingly bad. Infact what makes it worse is usually about the 8th round he has a guy up by 3 or 4 rounds, then they say "the HBO Guys" have it level...then the fighter 3 rounds up will have the best 4 rounds of his life, and Jimm Watt will score them for the other guy to try and get his scorecard back in line with HBO.

Lederman is the best I can think of.

I usually agree with him, or at least can see why he scored rounds the way he did.

He had Valuev comprehensively beating Haye.

I like Lederman's scoring but he tends to give a pity round here and there when the losing guy actually does something.

His scorecards are fair in most cases, though, he's really consistent and that's important.
