I do and I don't. I do in that I would love to see him get in there and get it on. I don't in that, why should a guy who is doing interviews, TV shows, etc... and investing in cultivating a following risk losing it all in the ring against a guy not working to cultivate his following?

He forced himself out. He should have KEPT fighting scrubs and giving interviews. If I were him I would be on FNFs once a damn month knocking cornballs out giving great post fight interviews. Instead he was quiet hoping that crap would fall in his lap.

The dangerous opponent is the shoveling horse**** for $10 an hour and the easy high payday fight is the lap dance testing job man. No boxer in his right mind wants to get into a fight where there is actually a chance he will lose, and even if he wins he'll take a good amount of damage when he can make 3 times as much coasting to an easy victory.

If you want to blame someone for this blame the fans. People cry and ***** when a good competitive fight with lesser named fighters is on PPV for $30 but will gladly shell out $60 for a glorified sparing session. SHow more support for the fighters that you want to see get a shot and the money will make sense to the guy that holds the top spot.

Great point. Too many hypocrites on here.

Margs fans were calling out Williams for a rematch but Marg himself wanted nothing of that and ducked Williams like swine flu. Mosley didn't want him, Arum kept Cotto and Clottey away from too.

But yet Floyd is the the guy runing all the big WW fights from happening.

Now I understand your take on the economic side of the sport. But let's be real here...

Is it right for a fighter to have to "cultivate his following" outside the ring in order to get a fight with the best guys? Or should he simply be required to fight and beat the guys and be the best in the ring?

Again, this ain't just on mayweather, cause all of the Welterweight ***gots were doing it at the same time.

If Cotto wasnt a challenge then why the **** did you pick Cotto to beat Pac? The way you made it sound pre fight, Pac wasnt a challenge for Cotto.

When was the last time you picked against Floyd?

You are exposed. You have no credibility whatsoever. How can you go from Cotto KO Pac within 5 rounds knowing the fight is at 145, 1lb below his previous fight and then come here and tell us Cotto wasnt a challenge? idiot.

I just want Floyd to fight a welterweight. Any welterweight, that'd be a start. We'll talk about "dangerous opponents" after that.

a guy who is awkward isnt a big draw and has a special ability be it a massive puncher(loads), very good skills (zahir raheem, sanderline william ), durbility(ross purrity, augustus, darnell boone) but they may have some problems from family or severe weaknesses at the other end of ability's making them unable to hit the big time.

edit: oh it's a "hate any fighter you dont like thread"

it has nothing to do with ****ing DANGER...it has to do with (in floyd's case) why fight PW for say 15 mil when u can fight cintron for 10 and have a much easier fight leading to a fight with pacman for 40 mil....these guys put there bodies on the line every fight, they have the right to get paid as much as they can

    Use common sense buddy.

    1. Fighters like Williams, Martinez, Margarito, Clottey, and Mosley are not concerned on getting the bigger cuts in the purses.

    2. They have impressive and devastating ko's or tko's over world class fighters.

    3. They can punch.

They all have different approaches to the game and different styles, but they all have one thing in common. Fight the best. Not avoid the best. Notice how some of these fighters mentioned have already faced each other.

Pac at least is going to face Clottey. Floyd zilch.
