    Over a decade before the UFC, a couple Pittsburgh promoters tried to put an MMA event together. They were pretty successful before the Pennsylvania legislature passed a law shutting them down after a few shows.

    Excellent post! Magnificent stuff indeed. Glimpses of techniques being tested and the dynamics if style clashes are still fascinating to me.
