What could Haye have done???

What David could have done is to honour his bombastic commitments "to fight like Tyson", which by the way was made well after the little toe break.

Because David was so extreme in his pre-fight statements, the proper measuring standard for his performance is not "how well David did versus prior WK opponents" but, rather "how well David did versus what he said he would do and how he would do it".

The point is that David did nothing that he said he would do. And his bombasts only got more extreme as the fight approached, which was we after the little toe break.

 

The only thing Haye could have done was be more active...which may have helped him or put him on the canvas; as it was he was huffing and puffing by the mid-late rounds even though he was barely active in the ring, imagine had he put on more gas earlier? Haye took rounds off late in the fight just to make it to 12 and Wlad was more than happy to put rounds in the bank and take it easy himself.

One big problem I found with Haye is the same thing people accuse Wlad of, which is a lack of offensive creativity. Sure Wlad wasn't giving Haye anything to work with, but Haye also wasn't working to hard to create opportunities of his own.
