His fathers comment, what he did, and the interview with Merchant make a beautiful hattrick.

Eric Morales for life. I hope the future will show his mind didn't suffer because of his sacrifices.

I think everybody already wants to forget about it after what happened to him in the succeeding fight with Pac. But Morales really did handle Pacquiao good in the first.

He can afford that. He was never hurt by Manny with the softer winners gloves.

JMM fighting with nostrils shut and well behind on scorecards after the 1st 2 rounds is equally ballsy.

Morales only shifted to southpaw because he already felt he can take Pac's punches (with pillow gloves). He never attempted to jack after feeling the Cleto Reyes.

lol yeh. It scared the **** out of Forrest, soon as Mayorga started attacking he was just all over the place. How do you beat a man you cannot hurt? Thats basicallly what Mayorga said to him.

Theres a difference though. JMM fought on to survive which is a natural instinct, Morales switched to prove something to himself, Manny & the fans. His dad telling him "dont do anything stupid" and he goes on and do the stupidest thing all in the name of balls. He was wobbling and he got hit with some perfect left hand shots from Pac and still would not turn back. He basically gave the round away and risked being KO'd just to prove his machismo.

Yea that right there is what finished him. Morales could have had a longer career had he fought by just using his underrated boxing skill set. But then i guarantee you there wouldnt be guys like us that are gonna remember him until we die and will be telling our kids about them. His career was cut short by his machismo but his legacy will stand forever due to his "stupidity"
    I miss him already...
