What credentials does he have beyond pro MMA, you mean? His foundation is wrestling, in which he did fairly well throughout high school and college (winning a national championship on a non-prestigious circuit but later cracking the top 5 US rankings).

He took a quick shining to cross-training in striking and BJJ. He is perceived as a good and versatile all-around athlete.

He's Mexican! Just ask him. Assuming he does not tell you within the first few seconds...

In Primetime yesterday Javier Mendez says he has never worked with anyone like Cain. That includes numerous top fighters. Cain is an unstoppable force who just keeps firing on all cylinders.

That comment his coach made about him being a better wrestler than Brock can't be true can it?

BTW I am English and know nothing about wrestling, when they list all these honours they got at high school and college I havent got a ****ing clue what they're on about.

How about in terms of the opponents he has faced? Other than beating Nog, how would you say he stands out?

Was Carwin a tougher fighter for Brock than Valasquez (on paper)?

Cain is gonna get smashed. Lesnar isn't gonna be threaten once in this fight. People soooooo overrate Cain.

  12. Damn hard fight for Velazquez. Insane he's a wrestler yet possess such bomb striking power.

Would rather see Junior Dos Santos V Velazquez or even JDS v Lesnar...

Cain is legit. 8 fights, 7 stoppages, 1 beatdown. Congo, Rothwell and Nog on the mantle piece.

No one really knows who the toughest fight for Brock is. The fact is he has alot of young, hungry, undefeated, athletic monsters going after him. Shane was the first, Cain is the second and then theres JDS. Frightening prospects!

Don't be surprised if this fight becomes a rich person's version of Griggs vs Lashley.
