Ratings can be very subjective and sometimes rather than results get based on personal feelings or sometimes justifiably on historical wins

My question is, how many wins or years should it be before someone moves in the ratings

Not that ratings are done this way
But if ratings were based on the last 3 fights for example how it would go?

    Usyk - Fury, Dubois, Joshua
    Dubois - Joshua, Hrgovic, Miller
    Parker - Zhang, Wilder, Kean
Fury - (loss) Usyk, Ngannou, Chisora
Joshua - (loss) Dubois, Ngannou, Wallin
    Kabayel - Sanchez, Makmudov, Smakici
Zhang - Wilder, (loss) Parker, Joyce

    Etc
Or if based on years, how many?

Take the last 2 years or so, say beginning of September 2022 to make a whole month

    Usyk - Fury, Dubois
Dubois - Joshua, Hrgovic, Miller, (loss) Usyk, Lerena
Parker - Zhang, Wilder, Kean, Opelu, Massey, (loss) Joyce
Fury - (loss) Usyk, Ngannou, Chisora

    To give an idea

    So
What is the criteria you use?
    Is it a personal feeling
    Personal favourite
Results? And based over what period
    Timescales?

    1. Who beat who?
    2. Career achievements
    3. Perceived current head to head potential

    In that order mostly

Who beat who, how, when. Any other "extracurricular" achievements like unifying, being a multi-time champion, etc

Brit Level is the only criteria we should apply

Usyk isn't British but he's very much Brit Level

    Elite Brit Level

Elite of the elite Brit Level

In the good old days when boxing was a regional sport the gold standard (ie. before the Brits and the Soviets took over) was American level but I consider all those fighters from back then bums. Yep, you read that right guys. BUMS.

This forum ranks depending on who they like or hate

Fury is a useless bum for losing to an mma guy, but usyk is the goat for scraping by the same useless bum who mangled his face

    Yes
This may be the correct and most accurate way
I was looking at the real non bias HW top 10 and to my surprise it was something like
    Usyk
    Dubois
    Fury
    Joshua
    Whyte
    Wardley
    Clarke
    Itauma
    Chisora
    Fisher

    As I recall it

I get that but I was asking how long before you think well that win was years ago and they haven't done much since

For example with say Fury and Dubois
    last 3 fights
    Dubois - Joshua, Hrgovic, Miller
Fury - (loss) Usyk, Ngannou, Chisora

    Last 2 years
Dubois - Joshua, Hrgovic, Miller, (loss) Usyk, Lerena
Fury - (loss) Usyk, Ngannou, Chisora

So would you have Dubois rated above or below Fury based on Fury having some greater wins years back?

So you feel it comes down to personal feelings and fan rating basically?

I think Fury did better then Dubois against Usyk. Although Dubois did get unlucky with the low blow call. Dubois is certainly breathing down Fury’s neck now.

No I don't, but the forum seems that way
    I like Fury, but I don't think he's a top tier heavy

I'm just using him as an example. Many say his resume sucks and Ngannou beat him which shows his real level. That's fine, nothing wrong with an opinion. However, when the same guys big up Usyk winning a competitive fight against Fury like it was Ali v Foreman? Then that's double standards

You either rate someone or you don't despite personal feelings
