Who gives a damn about lineals? :huh

Doesn't necessarily make you the best in the division, just because you beat the lineal champ, does it?

Maybe Ivan Calderon? His power is already a non factor so it's not like he's giving that up when he moves up. He would be harder for those bigger guys to catch than greesed lightning.

it's not that better if the division is weak.

of course it is not necessary...

but lineals are lineals. you beat "THE MAN" in that division most of the time ;)

having a 5 belts complimented by 3 lineals is a rare feat in boxing. :good

    That's true.

In the end, it doesn't much matter, unless you beat some great fighters along the way.

As I said...it doesn't matter what belts you win, what divisions you unify, etc...it only matters whom you beat!:deal

It's better to fight in one division, and beat the very best, than climb through a couple of divisions and beat lesser fighters...

i disagree...it takes a special fighter to climb through weight classes and be effective

Not necessarily that great...there's only 13 pounds between strawweight and bantam; only 13 between flyweight and featherweight...not that big a gap to bridge in a ten year career at the top
