Already has. Lineal titles are counted by historians and journalists. Since they are the ones who record history, I think he will be remembered as such.

The ABC titles are not the only official titles.

I'm talking about the IBHOF. They don't recognize lineal titles. According to the IBHOF, Pac will not officially go down as a 126 lb. champion.

    Well then that's the IBHOF.

I am talking about media, fans, and promoters. Pacquiao is being called a 4 division world champion in reports since the JMM fight. He was called a 3 division champion before. I am not interested in the semantics of the situation and who everyone believes is the true "official" word on it. Not in this sport.

We all know who the champions are. That's like saying that Hopkins isn't a LHW champion.

Fine, when any of them become an official boxing organization or sanctioning body, then I'll retract my statement. Being that this isn't the case, I stand by my original statement; Pac will not officially go down as a champion at 126 by any official boxing organization or sanctioning body.

Retracting your statement is unnecessary since it has no bearing on how I feel. Keep it, retract it, whatever. You keep beating that dead horse. Sanctioning bodies mean little to me and most fans and media and are certainly not the be all end all on our boxing views. You follow their rules. I don't care, nor am I arguing that you should not follow them. You are wasting your time arguing with me that I should follow them.

Ring titles are recognized (and announced before title fights), so are Lineal titles. End of story as far as I'm concerned. So Pacquiao, officially recognized as the Ring Featherweight champion, will be remembered as such, a 4 weight division champion. That is the boxing world we live in currently.

BTW, I suspect I won't read you calling Hopkins the LHW champion.

I didnt say it wasnt HARD or LACKING ACCOMPLISHMENT:nono

But LOGIC says that crossing weight classes must still be measured.
Is Ali somehow less because he doesnt hold 5 Belts? Lewis? ETCETERA!!! Why should a fighters frame and natural weight's some how hold him back?A fighters greatness is measured through W's, L's, and OPPONENTS. Undefeated? Marciano was 49-0 and isnt considered the best ever. The greatness come's in those moments where you defeat the greatest challenges.

Factor in that for over 80 years of the games history there wasnt a possible 6 titles to hold in a division. If SRR lived in this ERA? He might have had 6 divisons and possibly 20 something WORLD Titles?
Under Todays rules? He wins the LHW Championship after 12 Rounds.
The whole system is a mess they ALL HAVE ISSUES(4 Alpha's, Lineal, and Ring). The structure allows the possibilty that "5 divisons" is much more possible now than its ever been. I would respect a fighter who cleaned two divison's than a guy with 5 and never cleaned any division.

DLH aint the best EITHER!! Wasnt at 147 back in the DAY and certainly NOT 2 DAY:nono
And PBF is lineal at 130 and 147, he was RING at 35.

Nonito is about 5'6" 1/2, I think he's taller than Pac. When he's not training he walks 130-140 lbs. His style is Boxer puncher, Just like PBF. He's hard to hit because of good footwork & quickness. The top 122 lbs today were just 5-4 - 5'5" except for the freak Caballero.

I'll name fighters he need to defeat to accomplished this.
    112 -Dachinyan
    115 - Mijares(easy)
118- Sidorenko, Hasegawa, Arce, Mares.. Name it.. He can beat it all.
122- Vasquez & Marquez. These guys only stand 5'5", Nonito can out box them.(Ponce is gone by then)
126- John, Luevano,(Linares & Guererro will move up to 130 by then)

One more note: If you saw that Video of Donaire auditioning for contender, You'll see there he KD a welterweight. He has the Power to hurt even a Featherweights. I look for it in youtube but I can't find it. I posted it here during the Darch upset Prediction I have last year.

What I mean is this: take PBF for example...wouldn't he have proved more beating Cotto than beating de la Hoya, for example?

Please don't inslult my intelligene. I'm a big Hopkins fan, but simply throwing his name out there isn't going to change reality. He has a belt that was issued to him by a magazine. Until Ring magazine becomes recognized by the IBHOF, he will not officially go down as a LHW champion. Furthermore, not goind down as an official champion is not the same thing as not being a champion. Hopkins is the LHW Ring Magazine champion, there's no disputing this. Briggs was a Lineal HW champion. However, he will not officially go down as a two time HW champion.
