Perhaps Vasyl Lomachenko? Maybe Gennady Golovkin? Possibly Anthony Joshua?

Terence Crawford if he defeats Errol Spence at welterweight?

Maybe Mikey Garcia, who has won titles in four weight divisions?

Taking in to account that people call everybody a legend these days but in the true sense i can think of one definate and thats Pacquiao. Lomo has turned pro late, he is great but i feel he wont achieve enough in a short career to truly be labelled a legend. Crawford possibily he is clearly special and has plenty of time. I dont know if this will make sense to anybody but i just dont get a feel of this being a "legend" growing era, to me legends came out of era's or divisions that were a mile deep in serious threatening quality, every fight a real challenge with monsters overcome, or monsters ruling. This current era just feels devoid of any depth of quality, there are a few good fights to be made in all divisions but after that as Tyson Fury would say, its bum city.

The only three with the talent to be legends are GGG, Spence and Loma but they need the right opponent also, Canelo is better than Loma or Spenses opposition so far so he will come closest but talent wise Loma would of troubled most legends but not everybody agrees so it doesn`t look like he going to make it there.

Pac`s legacy was hurt by the KO defeat to JMM and his awful display v Floyd, most legends from the past would have beaten him on both of those nights, he was dreadful!

I understand what your saying but I think most people will see Manny as a legend. I think his legacy is secure looking at his achievements and the great fights he has left us all to rewatch. I think many “legends” of the sport have fought on too long and had embarrassing losses late in thier career.

It's interesting that Joe Calzaghe can be declared a Top 50 ATG in one thread, while Pac can be questioned for losing to great fighters in another. JMM-Pac IV is one of the greatest and most ferocious fights of the 21st century, and Marquez' victory over him is probably the single greatest victory of their generation — how that hurts Manny's status as a 'legend' rather than emboldens it, I'll never know. The bout with Floyd was also very competitive, with Manny winning up to 5 rounds on reasonable scorecards.

I suppose just like P4P or ATG there is going to be difference of opinion with the legends debate which is fair enough these are all subjects worth debating. Personally i dont care about Pacmans losses, there are plenty of Boxers in the greats list that have losses on their records.

Alvarez, Lomachenko, Gonzales and Pacquiao will definitely get into the HOF.

One or two fights does not define a fighter.......you have to weigh the whole body of work. Pac is a legend!

I cant see him doing it tbf, Spence busts him up late and stops him. Golovkin, Loma(hugely) AJ is a guaranteed British legend, if he keeps winning which I think he does, then him too universally. Usyk has the potential, Pac is an atg living legend while currently boxing, very very hard to achieve imo unless your elite all time elite. Crawford too if he stays away from Welter

I’m in total agreement with you. I see Manny as an ATG legend regardless of what he does or did st the back end of his career. I’m just saying many people we all see as legends of the sport have been KTFO at some point late on in thier careers.

Makes sense to me. I think legends in general are always from another time if you get me. Perhaps in years to come a younger generation of boxing fans will be looking at our current boxers that we are watching and view them differently and perhaps we will too. Pac though, jeez, pure pure legend. An exceptional talent that shocked everyone
