Make what better for me? I'm asking a question, you're refusing to answer it. He said he planned on defending it next but they stripped him. It's nobody else at 154 but Canelo to fight, so if he defends his title it will clearly be Canelo. That's why I'm not sure why people are making such a big deal about it.. It's literally nobody else at 154 he'd face, as he clearly only goes there for big money fights because he's not as effective at the weight. If he defends at 154 it will be against Canelo. If he doesn't fight Canelo he'll give up the 154 title and remain at 147. Either is fine with me. :thumbsup
Pac wins 154 title at 150, says he won't fight any other fighters at JMW because it's too high for him... Yet he wants to fight Cotto at 150 in a rematch. :rofl:roflatsch Floyd fights at 154, beats Oscar and retires after. 5 years later he tries it again with Cotto, take more punishment than recently and gets his pops back in his corner to tighten up his defense. But if he says 154 is too high it's a clear duck. nut:roll: If he fights Canelo anywhere below 154 it's complete ****ery.. Canelo isn't going down, Floyd's not fighting him at a catchweight. He'll fight Canelo at 154 or give up his title and remain at 147. Simple.
So sad for you, he has not been stripped: http://www.fightnews.com/Boxing/may...hamp-canelo-or-wbawbo-champ-rigondeaux-194628 I've never seen so many fans desperate to see their champ stripped
Yup. Or how about when Floyd "Cherrypicked little old LW Marquez" and everyone gave Floyd ****...then Manny does it 2 years later and all the Tards are ok with it. :blood Mind-numbing stuff.
He doesn't want to fight Cotto at 150, he never wanted to go above 147 after Marg. He was up front, admitted that 8th division was too much. Kinda like Floyd is too small for his 5th, but without all the dishonesty Cotto taunted him into offering 150: http://www.boxing scene.com/cotto-pacquiao-fear-me-mayweather-go-154--48943 When Pac offered exactly that, Cotto blamed money and weight, and went on to look like a midget and lose to Trout for peanuts.
He vacated it on the spot, remember? The past couple of days must have been rough for you, I'll cut you slack
Pac actually tried dragging Cotto back down to 147 and then 148 at one point too. :nut :nut What a warrior.
How is that sad for me? I specifically said HE said that, not I. That link has been posted a ton of times, we all know they haven't stripped him BECAUSE he said he was going to defend it but got stripped. Ignore everything I said above, just post a link because you think you 'got me' stating he still has the title.. Deflect, change the topic at hand quick! :rofl:rofl
--"The only offer Top Rank ever made us was the same money as in 2009," Cotto told ESPN.com. "[Arum] made the same offer he made in 2009, and we found it kind of funny. That was the reason we decided not to face Pacquiao. That, and they also wanted me to go down to 150 pounds and give him the same advantage that they gave Pacquiao in 2009, a catchweight."-- Cotto at 150
Everyone has a favourite fighter who they support and defend, but what happened can't in anyway be justified. I know you can't name names, and I wouldn't want you to, but have I been debating with them on threads such as this one?
