What did Benavídez need to avoid being criticized in his fight with Gvozdyk?

    I thought he looked great early and impressed me with some subtle defensive skills. He appeared to do a poor job coming up to 175 he faded in the second half and was a bit flabby and it sort of reminded me of when de la Hoya looked chubby vs sturm then trimmed up for Hopkins

    id like to see if he does better in a second fight at 175

    I don't think Benavidez has the genetics to cut up and look muscly

    Yes but he could still come in less flabby. The lack of conditioning was the main issue, the way his body looked at the weight leads me to believe he needed to prepare better to perform at 175

    Apparently, he injured his hand against Gvozdyk. Benevidez vs Bivol-Beterbiev winner will be a banger.

    He should pair up with a strength and conditoning coach.
