Seriously. I need to know. He got totally owned tonight in every possible way. I think Lamont gave him to much respect. he could have stopped him.
I think he landed some decent right hands while Lamont was running around. First 6 rounds: Garcia 4-2 Last 6: Lamont 4-2
LP was running around like a goddamn woman. If he manned up in the first 6 like he did the last 6 he would be celebrating tonight.
Peterson was running around/ in the first 6? go back and look at dannys face in the 6th? You tell me who was landing.
This is what I was thinking Danny didn't do a lot his footwork wasn't good enough to catch Peterson I think he needs to rethink his 'swift' moniker I was rooting for Danny aswell
It's not what he did, it's what peterson didn't do. He threw a lot of jabs and right hands but none of them landed he spent the whole time running so Garcia didn't have to do much to win the rounds just a shot or 2. I agree with you that Lamont gave him too much respect and could have stopped him. his corner gave him terrible advice. When they were close, peterson used waiste movement to make danny miss and hit him with clean shots. there was no need to stay at such a distance that neither man could land.
Peterson won this. What a sh!tty decision, again for the bum swift. Garcia missed 80% of his punches. Boxing is becoming a joke.
I had Danny winning the first 7 rounds, and Peterson the rest of the way. Danny didn't do all that much in the first half, but Peterson did nothing (other than move away, elude punches, but not throwing anything back).
He didn't win them. Peterson lost them. If peterson had been doing what he did and landing effective shots of his own, I would agree with you. But that was not what happened. He fought so far out there that his jabs and rights were stopping way out in front of Garcia he was punching air. if he had closed the distance by just a few inches, those shots land and he wins easy. If one guy is running for his life, it doesn't take much for the other guy to steal a round. One or 2 decent shots that get the judges attention are enough. Also you guys need to stop trying to score professional fights like amatuer fights. You don't just count how many times the white part of the glove touches a "scoring area" like you do in the amatuers. Clean punching > arms and elbows but arms and elbows> air or not throwing at all. If hitting arms and elbows keeps your guy on the defensive and unable to land anything of his own then it is not entirely ineffective. Max Kellerman once summed up pro scoring perfectly for me. The winner of the round is the guy that you would rather have been that round. I'd rather be the guy with shots stopping harmlessly 3 to 6 inches in front of my face, than the guy getting hit in the arms and eblows.
Garcia didn't do a damned thing...............he's good at low blows though. Look at his face, then look at Peterson's..................Herrera beat Garcia and Peterson just beat Garcia. Garcia will fight Haymon bums the rest of his fake career...............
