Guerrero beat nobody top 10 apart from Berto in any division lightweight and above.

If it wasnt Guerrero then who would it have been? I think this is a pointless question...

And how exactly does skipping (ducking) two deep divisions where he would lose to someone beat other fighters scalps not just Khans record but look at others.

I could easily argue many other fighters that have better wins and names under their belts than Robert Guerrero when we are talking who or who doesn't deserve the fight.

And wtf did Victor Ortiz ever do to deserve a Mayweather fight the guy was outclassed by Maidana ffs.

Anyway should close this thread it's a mute point but annoyed me because I always thought guerrero didn't get up to enough to warrant a floyd fight.

well that's where we differ then because for me it's also about who you fight not just getting a title
Just saying floyd is full of **** because ortiz didn't deserve a fight and neither did guerrero really when you really think about it

He has no speed, little power and was " easy work" as Floyd says.:patsch

Having 1 lost on his record didn't hurt.

    Meaning......HE DID NOTHING!!

Guererro was such a garbage fight that opens the door for Mayweather to fight anyone and justify it. Pathetic fight when it was signed, worse during the actual fight..... shocker that RG opened up as a 9-1 underdog , yeah that title meant something didnt it boyz, that interim crap title :rofl

Guerrero did not even do anything to earn this fight..
It was part of Money Team's careful picking and Guerrero is not a threat to Floyd's health

that health comment that everybody is always going on about was due to Floyd and his father's suspicion that Pacquiao was using steroids. Meaning he wasn't going to risk his health facing somebody on PEDs. I don't see what is so unreasonable about that.

Berto is the stepping stone to Mayweather I expect the announcement of Mayweather's next opponent to be none other than Jesus Soto Karas ..

Its cowardly ,to accuse a guy that he is on something with no proof just to avoid fighting him !

Mares was a 7-1 favorite over Gonzalez and got knocked out in the first round. Alvarez was a 2.5-1 underdog against Mayweather and arguably lost every round. If someone can name a better fight that Mayweather could've made instead of Guerrero, I'd like to hear about it. And someone list some names.
