He should better make sure he won't be haunted by the ghosts he called upon. He is drumming up all this interest, what if he loses a fight? What if he ends looks like a moron? He risks imploding faster than a supernova.
Well, Toney (an habitual trash talker) lost to Peter and he went on to fight a rematch and then face Rahman - so he was still able to compete. So ****ing what if he loses? He may be valliant in defeat and many people on here will change their opinion. Tyson talked more **** than anyone but went on to compete and be talked of a possible Vitali opponent, so should Haye lose it won't be the end of the road.
Ali was famous for going overboard in the fights he was most nervous about, ala Liston and Frasier, who both wanted to physically murder him come time for the fight, leaving them wide open and wreckless.
And yet he is still considered a gentleman who transcended sports, religion and politics... the point is, haye is going overboard because he is more nervous than ever, just like Ali.
Tyson was clearly unhinged & as far as I can remember, unplanned. Haye has written a bad script, which he delivers very poorly. I REALLY looked forward to his move to HW. I think he has a great style & skills to trouble the Klits and Valuev. But he's playing a game he's just not good at (other than a total lack of shame) and looks stupid doing it. Maybe he should have just taken a dump on the cardboard cut out - that would have rec'd even more coverage.
Tyson was unhinged when he said about punching an opponents nose up into his brain? Nah, I don't think so. If Haye said that you'd all be up in arms..... I'm just suprised that so many people are getting so bent out of shape about what he has done, which in all honesty is quite timid to what many other fighters have done. I'd consider what Bowe did (punching Donald, the facas with Gonzales) was probably worse. People are kicking up such a fuss because they don't like Haye, plain and simple.
I used to think Haye was a nice guy. Now I think he's a shameless gobshite who'll go to laughably unsubtle means to promote a fight. This isn't just the actions of a few haters; Haye has made enemies of people with some of the **** he's come out with.
Talks **** about everyone whilst not having a meaningful victory at heavy. and thats just the tip of the iceberg. As ive said previously, im British and i cant wait to see the guy get ko'd, and **** off back to Cyprus into Booth's bed.
I was never a Haye fan, used to hate him. But he had drummed up a lot of interest in a dull division. I think people are taking him too seriously and they need to realise he is promoting a fight.
As Motorhead said, there's only so much that can be justified in the name of "promotion". Saying you're going to knock someone out or that you're a cut above them is one thing, but insulting someone's appearance or ancestry is on another level. Haye just comes off juvenile and classless.
I don't like Mayweather because he is a TERRIBLE **** talker. But I don't run around making numerous threads and countless posts claiming Mayweather is bad for the sport, a shameless **** who talks nothing but smack. He is a masterful fighter and Haye has also proven himself very capable on the World stage. He has tried to drum up interest and that has worked a treat. You've all bought into what Haye wanted you to buy into. You'll all be tuning in or at least interested to see what unfolds come Nov 7. :deal
In my opinion what Haye has done is not that bad, or as bad as many are making out. I think many of you are perhaps taking things all to seriously.
Haye has drummed up a lot of interest in this fight through his trash talking and general promotion for the fight. Many armchair fans finally had someone who would bring some excitement and controversy. Only time will tell whether it has worked in his favour.
