random enquiry that's playing on my mind. anyone know? i can't remember from the night whether they revealed the weights or not.
173lbs, same as he weighed in. If fighters cut, and re-hyrdate weight, they do it very precisely; no fighter (especially a veteran like Hopkins) would make the mistake of cutting 2 or 3 extra pounds when cutting is such an arduous process anyway.
Did the same thing for the Calzaghe fight. Come fight night, at LHW, Hopkins is a big dude. No way he's 170-173 pounds .
You obviously don't know anything about how fighters make weight. Why the **** would he cut a needless 2 extra pounds (which is ****ing hell btw)? Do you think bhop is a novice or an idiot?
btw, Hopkins has never been a weight-cutter and weighed in at 156lbs for the DLH fight; its frightening to think that, had he been cutting weight to the extent of guys like Paul Williams or Antonio Margarito, he could probably have made Welterweight at that point in his career :yikes
