I know there were riots in the north east part of England regarding English people of Pakistani descent. A lot of white people in England try to play it down but its obvious that Amir's ethnicity does play a part in the criticism, to some degree.

Lets face it, racism will never go away from either side. The best thing for Amir was to come to Los Angeles, where the diversity will help him feel more welcome.

For a boxer Khan is very humble, it's only quite recently that he's become more outspoken yet I know loads of people who despised him more or less as soon as he came on the scene.

The hate on Khan derives from the ridiculous hype that he's received throughout his career, particularly early on. And then, the parade of handpicked light-hitters his management had him fight, because they knew his chin was utter china.
