From a British point of view he was hated more before he got KO'ed.
After he won the silver, every1 expected him to progress a lot faster than he did, rather than fighting nobodies 1st (Kahn had no choice but to fight these people as he needs the experience.) He is also a very arrogant human being who believed he was among the best light-weights in the world when in truth he wasnt even the best light weight in Britain (previously i would have rated Mitchell higher).

Again after he got KO'ed he sacked his coach straight away as if it was his fought he got clipped. Then he talks of a Hatton fight (which he would properly win now with his speed) and a JMM fight. Again these options seem to be strange when he has a mandatory fight waiting. He will never have the backing that Hatton enjoyed, taking all those fans across the pond.

In sort he is a good fighter, and if he hadn’t of won a medal at the Olympics, then people will like him a lot more. I fear the same thing will happen to Degale, even tho I like him a lot. I don’t fink Billy-Joe or Gavin will have the same problem as Kahn if they fight at world level.

    No, Its really not.

I don't hear any hate for those boxers. They haven't even been mentioned for months, I don't think.

Go to Boxrec and look at Pac-Mans list of opponents, do the same to De La Hoya, in fact you can do this test on pretty much every single accomplished boxer out there, throughout the first 20 or so fights, they fight nobodies, its called building a fighter up. Giving them the experience they need, leading them down the road to success. And every Olympic medalist is hyped when they turn Pro, every single one.

I can't really comment about racial tension in particular areas in England, but to say we are an anti-Asian country is ridiculous, you can't generalise like that without facts. True there are a lot of places in England where there is racial tension, and not just between white/asians etc. Go anywhere in the world and there will be some sort of racial tension. I'm not denying that he may be disliked by people because he is Asian, that could very well be, but definitely not by the majority of Brits who dislike him.

Also, being white is no guarantee of success, and it wouldn't mean he would be more famous either.

Personally I was proud when he won the silver medal at the Olympics, but then i started to dislike when he turned pro, cos he became cocky, he even admitted it himself up until the Prescott KO. I started to like him after that cos he became more humble, and going to the US is great for him, good luck to him. So maybe some people thought the same about him, although i can't answer for everyone.

What, and you don't think England is Racist? Seriously?

By the way, this has nothing to do with the topic at hand, but seriously, you can't say that England is not a racist country.

He is of Middle Eastern decent i believe.
That in its self does it.

Of course he is not going to be very well liked as he was beating up on white men in England.

    Sad but true.

When is the last time a racist party got voted in at election time?
5% of all votes cast in the European election were for the BNP, which means 95% didnt!

I am not talking about that. I am talking about the average person. I know for a fact that its racist, I know so many racist people. I am not talking about politics here. Look at comments on youtube and just from talking to people. England is a racist country, although, I think theres a racist population in every country.

OOh so ur not talking about votes, your talking about 'average people' who voice their opinion through what- Voting u dick!

Of course there r some racists in England, but to say that the whole country is racist if a small minority r is just plain stupid. It would make every country on Earth racist if thats your line of argument.

    Go read a book

It's partly because he's asian, and partly his attitude. The combination of the two together and the stories that go around that he takes easy fighter, has no chin in combination with the perception he drives around Bolton above the law running people over

It's far from a joke, what part of the UK do you live in and what are your experiences of racism in that area?
