I understand that Max Baer built quite a resume.

Joe Louis said that he choked Lena Horne in an argument and she denied it.

Kind of weird, as it’s usually the alleged abuser who denies it, not the alleged victim.

She said he was very nice to her.

Joe had exquisite taste in women. Too bad he didn't come up an era where Joe could have been Joe.

Diana Ross blew Muhammad Ali when he was laying on the massage table in his dressing room after the Fight of the Century. A writer walked in on them. He said Ali was naked on the table and Diana's head was in his lap and the only thing covering him was her hair.

    The '70s, man.

I don't know if any of you are NBA fans but a friend of mine blew a small fortune at the High Rollers Roulette table at a Vegas casino, I forgot the name, so he could say he played Roulette with Paul Pierce. I also have another friend who was at a bar at Caesars with Ali's dad and brother the night before the Holmes fight. Just want to note he told me Rahman wasn't drinking.

I’d def. say that Joe had a lot better taste in women than Jack Johnson. Maybe Jack’s partners were considered better in their day than I can appreciate.

I'm an autograph collector so in the 1990s and early 2000s, running into celebrities was my thing!

They obviously got Ali’s order wrong. He asked for one with the lot but he got a supreme that sucked instead.

It’s a wonder Diana didn’t have a mind to straddle the sore, sorry and immobile Ali so that she could have her own “Garp” baby.

I read that too. On first sight the writer thought to himself "No....surely not! Not after 15 rounds with Joe Frazier??"

That definitely would have caused a Chain Reaction!!!

Trust me, if I made the entire list, I'd take me a day at least.

As far as where, mostly the local hotels but also at the airport (Axl Rose, Meadowlark Lemon, Steve Austin), at boxing gyms (Tyson, Mayweather, Sugar Ray Leonard, Chavez Sr., Robert Garcia, Mosley) at the arena afterwards (Kenny Lofton, Steve Young, Roy Jones jr.) autograph shows (Danny Trejo, Ted Nugent) and at the Tszyu-Mitchell II fight (Sylvester Stallone).

I usually went after every type of celebrity you could imagine minus those who were ever convicted of **** or murder. In Tyson's case. I went after his autograph BEFORE I adopted that criterion of "minus convicted rapists or murderers". Politicians, boxers, baseball players, basketball players, hockey players, tennis players, American Football players, gymnasts, wrestlers, golfers, association football players, movie stars, rock stars, models, religious figures and even Princess Anne of England were all fair game to me!

I remember there's a story in Ali's autobiography that Liston was told Lena Horne would see him if he beat Patterson. "Patterson was lucky to come out alive."

Lena would have been in her forties by then, but evidently still a tempting prospect.
