SRR killed a guy in the ring and had a lot more and better knockouts than Ali

Robinson was easily a pound for pound harder puncher.

    Total offensive firepower.
Robinson was much more a one punch ko threat than Ali. Also Robinson could hit with extreme power with any punch. Hooks , uppercuts, straight punches Robinson could devastate an opponent.
Ali could hit better than he usually gets credit for. But he wasn't on Robinson's level. Pound for pound.
However, I read somewhere years ago Ali, actually could get his punches off faster than Robinson...... Despite being well over 50 pounds heavier...... Think about that.

Robinson had a more complete attack, mixing in the body as well. And a harder punch.

Ali had his very special footwork, of course. But also used the jab to the body, the lead right, the pull counter, the "swivel" counter (turn your chin with a punch and counter) more than Robinson, I'd say. Ali skipped some of the fundamentals but mixed in some really advanced stuff for his time.

Better fighter overall, didn't need to use his mouth to sell a fight or talk down to his opponents.

Robinson had one punch knockout power, particularly at 147 and Fullmer might argue at 160. He also aimed to take advantage of it and was much more aggressive on the whole than Ali. He quite liked letting his hands fly utilizing his immense speed and brilliant combination punching while almost always being the heavier puncher in the ring as well. He was an offensive machine and wasn't scared to show it. His style and assets put a lot more pressure on the opponent, forcing mistakes, ending fights. Ali liked to take his time and box, even when his opponent was thoroughly outclassed. It was usually more urgent and dangerous with Ray.

I just think Robinson did everything better by leaps and miles. Really I do. Their inside game was not comparable because Ali didn’t really have one - his uppercut was … not really an uppercut, his jab was comparable Robinsons was his weakest point though and Alis finest. They were so different it’s strange when you occasionally hear people say he was a HW Robinson when really he was more like the HW Jimmy Slattery, Willie Pastrano or dare I say it… James J Corbett.

The obvious is the difference in power ... Robinson was one of the greatest punchers of all time when Ali was an average puncher at best ..
