Have you ever rolled with a world class grappler?

You do not catch them with a few months practice.

actually thatz kinda true but not totally true

if you roll with a world class grappler they will roll with you to MATCH your ABILITIEz for if they didnt they would submit the dude they were rolling with. however they dont desire to submit these fellas as they desire to work on getting themselvez into some SERIOUSLY BAD positionz with the less experienced sparring dudez so as they can keep working OVER and OVER on getting OUT of BAD PLACEz.

itz NOT uncommon for a more EXPERIENCED grappler to be submitted numerous timez in even ONE training session. itz freaking NORMAL for the love of GOD it happenz each and every dam day.

except NOBODY is STUPID enough usually to actually BOOST that they submitted a sparring mate like this itz so COMMON that you can tell MO dont really even care about it and is just supporting his new friend witch is kinda cool i guess.

what else would he do to dispute it would just make him and james look like a couple of toolz

when i boxed i was basically garbage but compared to inexperienced boxerz i was freaking great. was not uncommon for me to spar with a inexperienced fella for a few sessions and then suddenly get TAGGED BIG TIME during one sparring session. the REASON? The guy finally adapted to me going EASY on him and took advantage of it. as i said i was pretty much garbage compared to the elite i was facing however every time i got TAGGED against a rookie in a situation like that i would make sure that i TAGGED him back as soon as i clearly my cobwebz and i made sure i didnt take as many liberties with that same guy again.

kinda like mo sayz at the end of the tape that it will NEVER happen again

this thread needz to die im feeling silly feeding it as much as i have :dead

I mean going 100%; i'm sure he has tapped him when Mo let him.

But when you actually go 100% with a purple belt even; let alone a world class wrestler who didn't get subbed or even look like it against Mousasi over 5 rounds, you get flattened with no resistance.

Also not to be condescending, but however big the gap between you and the boxer was, it wasn't 1/100th of the gap in grappling ability between Mo and Toney.

Eddie Bravo was on Joe Rogan's podcast a couple of days ago. It's Podcast 35 if you are interested. You can download the audio off Joe's website (http://blog.joerogan.net/). The subject of James Toney came up.

Joe was saying that it seems like Toney is working with good wrestlers like King Mo etc and that bodes well because those are the type of guys he needs to be working with. Eddie then replied that his sources have told him that Toney's training is a joke. Make of that what you will.

If you do want to download Joe's podcast bare in mind that it might not be safe for work. They swear and talk about sex etc. For instance the show is sponsored by a male sex aid.

Not world class but on King Mo's level yeah. James caught Dean....and he's world class. And Dean had no qualms about saying so emphatically and expressing how surprised he is with James picking up these kinds of techniques so quickly.

Yes he was.....Dean said so in a Fight Hype interview brah. He didn't care one bit that James picked up on what he taught and was able to catch him in a sub. James ain't just a regular guy starting MMA. He's a world class athlete and legendary fighter in his own right....just like Randy which means he is able to pick up on new techniques better than most.

    Read the article again

Lister was going through drills for what Toney should do when he his mounted, instead of doing the drill he grabbed Lister's foot and twisted. It wasn't an actual sub, Lister just said "let the **** go, that hurts".

You can't honestly believe Lister got footlocked in anything resembling live training.

You mean the Fight Hype interview entitled "Dean Lister: James Toney Almost Submitted Me!"? The key word there is 'almost' and Dean goes on to imply that they were "going over a few things" as opposed to serious rolling. I wouldn't put too much stock in Dean's interview anyway, Eddie Bravo said on the last Joe Rogan podcast that his sources tell him that Toney isn't training seriously.

You need to learn to read "brah".

Almost, and like Dean Lister would be going balls to the wall vs a noob. Waste of time, would be like Toney getting somebody who has never boxed and beating the **** out of him for training..

Nah.....That's not what Dean said bro. He said that they were training and during him trying to pass James guard or pass the mount James grabbed his foot and got him in a sub...
