If one considers the extreme, Boxer A easily winning a round before merely touching a glove due to a loss of balance after a light punch from Boxer B, it would be a travesty if the round was scored 10-8 against him, and exactly the same score as if he had been beaten from pillar to post and suffered a heavy knock down after which he barely beat the count.
