me and DemonD agree it was the best 1-2 of the tourney.
a bit of a dodgy stoppage. but it's been like this in biejing.

anyone see the beahan massacre!!! chinny guy against big one arm puncher = disastor for aussie team

tremendous size but am not sold. Will have to see if he can make some more noise in the games. Must give props because I thought Islam would win. Solid 1-2 though.

 

The best preformance of tournament, yet, is Vasyl Lomanchenko schooling hot-blooded World Champion Albert Selimov.:happy Price did a good job, but the stoppage was kinda premmature.

 

Upset of the tournament so far?

I reckon the Chinaman will win it now but I give Price a massive chance now.

it was pretty even but i was expecting price to just slip and islam take advantage.



the chinese guy i thought had a great start....but by god the stamina of the guy terrible. after a great 1st roudn where he could of finished off the fat morrocan he just gassed in 2 mins. he clearly couidl stop him but just ran out of gas...

if he fights price that woudl be a prety good match up.

Looked like a bit of a premature stoppage to me, but David should have been given more points, the scoring so far has been a joke though so I'm not surprised.

 

Scoring was shocking, don't know how it was 2-0 at end of the 1st, the judges are ****ing ****. Same in most of the fights, it seems they have preselected a winner.

Price looked surprisingly spritely for someone of his size and has decent power so I wouldn't be surprised to see him do quite well but ultimately be screwed out of the gold.

 

Islam wins 9/10 against David Price, luckily for England he got a tremendous 1-2 shot in there that was enough to get him the win basically.

I can't do anything but congratulate England to some success in the amatuer boxing at this olympics, I have a newfound respect for England after meeting a few lads from there :smoke
